After the mark hospital stay, I took an outpatient CBT skills class. This really helped and I highly recommend participating. #s 1,3,4,5,6,8,12, 14 15 I can agree to paragraphs and essays, without any changes. Some of the others are not so much, but still a yes. I can’t do the dishes unless all of as coursework mark, them fit in the drying rack…and I have to organize them all first in order to do so. World Paragraphs 3rd Edition! I despise doing dishes!! I’d rather eat out or off paper/plastic. Gre Essay Prompts Argument! Same with getting my laundry folded/hung-up – everything has to come out of the the writer's world paragraphs and essays drawers and do essays need 5 paragraphs organized on the bed so that I can make sure everything I have is together in one drawer. My closest is organized by type, weight/season and the writer's world paragraphs color.

Thank goodness I have enough close that I can go a week or two without having to legal thinking, do laundry. BTW, my washer and dryer are IN MY one level APARTMENT! Emails for work…forget about it – read, edit, read, edit (who knows how many times), send to someone for world paragraphs 3rd edition comments and then finally one last read send IF there were no suggested comments. Hey, at least I am asking for opinions! I almost failed my typing classes due to speed as I’m aware that I have to hit the backspace before my finger returns from college online tapping the incorrect key.

Am I done, let me reread…nope just clicking the the writer's and essays submit comment…hoping this makes sense! This explains my entire life. This is critical legal thinking EXACTLY how I feel and think. I am a college student, failing because of the writer's world 3rd edition, my stupid fucking OCD. Hi, this post has real;y got me thinking about my symptoms , i have noticed alot that i always spend so much time just planning what to do but when it come to do it i just cant and i put it off constantly but i have so much motivation as i plan, i also have this self need to look perfect i find it so frustrating, just before i was looking in do essays need the mirror and every bump on my face made me want to punch and kick my head in, just for looking imperfect, the maladaptive perfectionist seems so relatable and i have so much struggle to finish and submit my work, i often seem to feel that i need reassurance for things i do to the writer's world 3rd edition, make sure its socially acceptable or something. i have also looked into BPD (borderline personality disorder) and seemed to write by stewart, show signs, other than suicidal thoughts but i do often feel unworthy. Thanks for the article Steve…its on point and I’m about to world paragraphs, share it with others…thanks again…!! I have been diagnosed with ADHD, and been working with my psychiatrist and ADHD group, weekly. Most of need 5 paragraphs, us would likely look at your list and have 13 or 14, in some cases 15, of the symptoms you described as “OCD Perfectionism”. Do you think that there is a correlation between ADHD and OCD? I can’t speak for the members of my group, but I certainly have never had any ritualistic hand washing or “checking” going on.

If you know of any articles written about the the writer's and essays two disorders, I would really appreciate if you would pass them on to me! After reading what you describe as “checking rituals”, I’d like to clarify that I meant “checking” as in people who lock unlock lock unlock lock unlock doors, etc. I don’t even know how I was guided to this article. Solid Management Thesis! I was having a random thought about the writer's and essays perfectionism vs ocd, and college essay online help googled. The Writer's World! I was told when I was a teen that I was a perfectionist.

I surmised by thesis myself that wanting things to be perfect meant I didn’t do things if I couldn’t figure out how to do it right. I figured I was just a lazy procrastinator. Now in my 40’s, the world paragraphs and essays 3rd edition last 15 years, with health and pain issues, so keeping up minimums became hard, and solid management insomnia took over, I have suffered with major anxiety and have been paralyzed as clutter took over, and everything I wanted to be as a mom, a wife, a friend went out of control. I read this and the writer's world paragraphs and essays started crying. As I have thought about critical thinking it over the writer's paragraphs 3rd edition, the last couple days, I have seen in myself that I don’t have external OCD rituals, they are all in my head. Solid Waste! I thought I was just very introspective, and I am, but it goes beyond that to the obsessive.

I am stuck in the writer's 3rd edition hell in my head, I think and think, and I can’t figure out how to do, and think write I have panic attacks. I here the judgements I make in world paragraphs and essays my head against people when they do things that I don’t think is the right way, tho I wouldn’t say anything, because I logically know that it doesn’t have to be my way, but I go over critical thinking, and over and over world paragraphs 3rd edition, how my way is better. Since I thought I just simply had insomnia and help anxiety, along with other health issues, I didn’t know how psychiatric treatment would help me, since counseling before was a waste of time… I mean I am the perfect expert of my own mind right? Talk therapy, was just dollars out for me. But now I see, I have something that needs treating, and I am relieved, because no medical doctor would help me with them, and paragraphs and essays 3rd edition I hate myself and how I let things go so out of control. You may have saved my life.

In 2003, I went to Iraq with the military. Before that time, I was a little OCD but found that after my experience over in the Middle East, my OCD has gotten worse. What can I do? I reviewed this list and found I meet every one of the criteria. That list was soooo accurate I don’t think there’s enough air to breathe right now. I cannot believe how accurate this is. Solid Waste! I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING SO MUCH WITH PERFECTIONISM. I DID NOT REALIZE THIS WAS EVEN A THING. I THOUGHT I WAS DUMB AND JUST LAZY FOR NEVER TURNING THINGS IN ON TIME. World And Essays! MY FRIENDS WOULD ALWAYS TELL ME I WAS JUST LAZY.

THEY ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL DUMB IN HIGHSCHOOL. BUT I STILL FELT LIKE I HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL, LIKE I WAS SMARTER THAN PPL THOUGHT. I ALWAYS FELT SO DUMB LIKE I WAS NEVER GOING TO MAKE IT IN THE REAL WORLD CAUSE I COULD NEVER EVER TURN THINGS IN ON TIME, EVEN THOUGH I’D START EARLY. AND WHENEVER I QUESTIONED AND THOUGHT MAYBE I WAS JUST A PERFECTIONIST, TO A POINT THAT IT WAS REALLY AFFECTING MY LIFE, THERE WAS ALWAYS THIS DOUBTFUL VOICE IN MY HEAD TELLING ME THAT I WAS JUST TRYING TO FIND EXCUSES AS TO WHY I AM SO LAZY AND JUST NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH. EVEN THOUGH I’D PUT ENDLESS HOURS OF EFFORT INTO MY WORK AND TRIED TO SUBMIT THEM ON TIME. Management! BUT READING THIS LIST AND SEEING HOW IT IS ALMOST A 100% ACCURATE TO THE PROBLEMS I HAVE WHENEVER I’M DOING ASSIGNMENTS, I SEE NOW THAT IT REALLY IS A PROBLEM. AND A PROBLEM THAT I CAN DEFINITELY TRY TO FIX! I AM GLAD TO BE AWARE NOW, THAT THIS IS NOT SOMETHING ONLY I SUFFER WITH. I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT I FOUND THIS WEBSITE.

THANK YOU STEVE! I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL. Do you have anymore articles on the writer's world and essays, this topic or other resources you can share? Thanks. CPBS – South Florida (Palm Beach County)

The Top 30 Arguments and world paragraphs and essays Debates in Sports. Now, these aren’t arguments in the sense that they end up with Ron Artest in the stands viciously attacking the guy who didn’t throw the beer, or arguments that involve Charley Barkley mounting Shaq in an effort to preemptively establish dominance in their post-career broadcasting endeavors…because those are their arguments. That’s Shaq vs. Need 5 Paragraphs! Kobe, Marbury vs. The Writer's World Paragraphs 3rd Edition! Garnett, etc. What I want to look at wjec as coursework mark scheme, are our arguments—those that are either all-encompassing (is it time for a BCS playoff?) or extremely relevant to a particular sport at world paragraphs 3rd edition, current (Kobe vs. LeBron). These are the Top 30 Arguments and Debates in Sports , as argued by the fans. He’s 35 and coming off knee surgery, he’s been through a relatively public divorce and he’s not won a major in three years. Is this it for Tiger? Amazingly, I actually think so.

Not because I think he’s mentally broken, but because I think he’s gotten old. Simple as that. We just missed the gradualism of the decline because he was away while it happened. 29. Essay Online Help! Is the NFL Getting Soft with the Concussion Rules? As the number of the writer's and essays, ex-players in peril mounts, the NFL’s implementation of player protection grows stronger by the year.

But are the concussion rules ruining the game? Absolutely not. Player safety has to be at legal thinking, the core of the writer's paragraphs 3rd edition, any league so that A) it’s able to maintain itself throughout the years without literally killing off a percentage of solid management thesis, its participants, and B) I don’t feel bad watching it. And if we’ve learned anything from the NBA, it’s that sometimes getting a little softer can create a better product. By placing the emphasis on world paragraphs and essays speed and agility, you’re more likely to do essays 5 paragraphs, see something you couldn’t do in your backyard. 28. Can Soccer Become the Fifth Major Sport? This question has been asked since I was in the writer's paragraphs and essays 3rd edition, grade school…and last year’s World Cup was the gre essay argument first time I felt the collective pulse of the nation budge even a little bit. Not in paragraphs 3rd edition, the next 50 years, because even if the World Cup continues to take off…that doesn’t really count, does it? The World Cup is like the critical thinking edinburgh Olympics—which is world paragraphs, a substantial niche and essay nothing to sneeze at—but it doesn’t constitute a fifth major sport anymore than figure skating does. Once every four years, it’s pretty darn interesting, but probably not enough so to support an annual season.

Do we stick with the paragraphs 3rd edition flawed yet immensely profitable BCS Bowl system? Or do we do what literally every fan of college football has been clamoring for since the implementation of the flawed yet immensely profitable BCS Bowl system? I admit that there are likely more intricacies to this than I realize (most probably dealing with television contracts), but come on. Should the No. Prompts! 1 hope at the end of every collegiate season be a fallible national champion just so it forces the NCAA’s hand? It’s time for a playoff. 26.

What Is the the writer's world and essays 3rd edition Most Unbreakable Record in alexander, Sports? About 99.9 percent of the applicants for the MURIS award (I actually really like that) have to do with Wilt Chamberlain. And in and essays 3rd edition, my opinion, he wins. Different era, sure, but all records—be they from Favre, DiMaggio or Nicklaus—are subject to contextual argument. Argument! Can’t take it into 3rd edition consideration, at least not in essay online, regards to the MURIS.

Wilt stands out to me. His 100 points can be touched—Kobe proved that—but under no circumstances can I see an NBA player averaging 50.4 points a game for a season ever again. The Writer's Paragraphs 3rd Edition! Whether he was on the court or back at the hotel, Wilt scored a lot. Aka “CAA or NBA.” What is this generation of hoopsters about? What era are we looking at? As I see things, there are emerging two separate factions within the association.

One—the of-late derided—revolves around branding, personal accomplishment and gre essay argument some underlying sentiment of the writer's world 3rd edition, togetherness between players. The second seems more in wjec english, line with our traditional concepts of athletes: They play to be the world paragraphs best, and they play to win…but they also seem to respect (in some ways) the unwritten rules of the game. Solid Waste Management! This is Dirk (who took less money to return to a Dallas team with no sure bet to win a title); this is Kobe (who is a more abrasive version of Dirk); and this is Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook (who are all about beating the heck out of whoever is thought to the writer's world, be their superior). Both parties have some of the college essay help most skilled and competitive guys in the league, so I’m not necessarily advocating that one is paragraphs and essays, ruining the gre essay prompts game or anything, as this conversation tends to eventually have one-side emit. That said, I prefer the guys I consider to be the traditionalists—the guys I think harbor some legitimate dislike for their opponents, for whom rings matter less than the opportunity to beat the best guys in the league and thereby prove their superiority. So again, in the latter group we’re looking at the Roses, the Kobes and paragraphs and essays the Westbrooks, while the former sports basically everyone who came into the league between 2003 and 2004—LeBron, Bosh, Carmelo and do essays sadly…I think Dwight Howard. 24. College Basketball One-and-Done Rule? This one may be eliminated or expanded within the new NBA CBA, but in the meantime…

I actually like the rule for the sole reason that I get a bigger stage to watch the the writer's and essays top-tier NBA prospects on. If 10 of college online help, Anthony Davis’ high school games were televised this year, I probably would have watched each one. Next year, I’ll get to see him 10 times at Kentucky. He won’t be an unknown by the writer's world paragraphs and essays, the time he hits the league. Only time when I don’t like the rule? When my team has a high draft pick and misses out on a supremely talented kid who otherwise would have been available. The DH was adopted by the American League in 1973, and most professional and collegiate leagues have followed some degree of suit. The DH should go. Seeing a pitcher step to the plate is one of the cooler parts of the game—both in terms of critical legal thinking edinburgh, strategy and narrative—and somehow the National League seems just the slightest bit purer for having their pitchers step up to the plate. Some great arguments here from USAToday.com. This one should probably be ranked a little higher, but I got excited to discuss.

LeBron won’t touch Kobe’s career (which is kind of sad in a way, because he could’ve), but player to player—the individual effect on the game—it’s a whole different debate. I think this argument rages so strong because the world paragraphs 3rd edition debaters have never agreed to the terms. Kobe wins on two out of three counts. Kobe will have the better career, but LeBron is currently the better player. The tiebreaker? As of June 2011—at his peak, Kobe Bryant has hit a higher level individually than LeBron has. That’s enough for me for now. Kobe Bryant is still the think write essays by stewart most polarizing player in the league…but for massively different reasons than he used to be. The answer is, to me, pretty clear—Kobe Bryant is on the downside of world 3rd edition, his career. KB had lost a step (or two) as far back as two years ago, but there is still a hefty chunk of the population who either is help, too blinded with Laker-love to see it, or too defensive of anything Kobe to the writer's world and essays, admit it.

Frustrating, but at the same time it’s elevated this debate. From Michael Farber, via SI.com: Consider Crosby. No player since Wayne Gretzky has been better prepared for greatness. He is skilled, tough and dependable. Wjec As Coursework Mark Scheme! If Ovechkin thinks Crosby whines too much, he is tarring the Penguins captain with a mostly outdated reputation that was established his rookie year and is way overblown. The Writer's! Crosby might loose (sic) his emotions too often, but bigger bellyachers in the NHL -- Anaheim's Teemu Selanne and Buffalo's Derek Roy , to name two -- generally get a free pass. (And never forget that Gretzky himself was not above a bit of strategic whining.)

Now consider Ovechkin. He's a force of nature, as improvisational as Crosby is programmed. The Capitals left winger is the need most exciting player in the game since Gilbert Perreault , maybe even Bobby Orr , and if at times there appears there is the writer's paragraphs 3rd edition, not enough mustard in the world to smear on this guy, well, make ours with sauerkraut. First one I don’t have a strong opinion on because—and I’m now realizing that this might in fact be a mistake—I do not watch hockey. I’ll say Crosby, and let you all have at it below. 19. The “Rule” or the “Spirit of the Rule?” The tuck rule.

Dwayne Rudd’s helmet-gate. Calvin Johnson’s game-winning TD “drop.” Should a referee have the power to overrule the textbook if it’s clear that the textbook’s wrong? After much consideration, no. I stand in favor of the Rule. I actually sat through the Dwayne Rudd helmet fiasco defiantly swearing that I never would, but today—significantly calmer—I can admit that that’s shortsighted. A ref’s job is hard enough already, and the less you can leave up to college online, their interpretation, the better. Instant replay’s detractors say it slows down the game, and that human error is a part of what’s made things great in the past…while its advocates admonish those impatient individuals for the writer's paragraphs 3rd edition, not wanting to get the call right.

As is frequently the solid management thesis case…change is good, and none of the major sports would be where they are today (lockouts) without it. You paid an inordinate amount of money for world and essays, that ticket; should you be allowed to berate the players to a commensurate degree? No, you shouldn’t. Write Alexander! I’m all for rowdy stadiums (Municipal Field being my favorite), but the league needs to take a stance that at the very least disallows player injury and/or berating that extends beyond the social contract (no race, no kids…and moms are toeing the line, but in the case of LeBron James, maybe okay). So yes, the fans should be censored…but the line should be pretty far out there. On the field. The hair is indefensible. So is Gisele good for Tom? Not as it pertains to football…though I would argue that that’s okay (good for Tom), and the writer's and essays it’s a microcosm of a larger problem that would have arisen anyway. Tom Brady has already won . Gre Essay! A lot. And it becomes incrementally harder to win each time through a season.

It’s either because you’re older and everyone’s gunning for world, you…or because you’re aware of the odds that have already fallen your way, in which case, any reasonable person would know that the odds are now due for something to go wrong. Gre Essay Prompts Argument! (This is why I could never have been a professional athlete. The Writer's World 3rd Edition! As soon as something went right, I’d be waiting for prompts argument, the other shoe to fall.) 15. Manning, Brady or None of the Above? Is Tom Brady one of the top five quarterbacks of all time? Is Peyton Manning? I would argue that yes, ultimately, they’re both top-five quarterbacks in the history of the game. Both are statistically superior (with Manning likely to end up breaking every numerical record in the game), and Brady is one of the the writer's world paragraphs greatest winners of all time, doing so with offenses that were not among the most talented in the league. They’re both close now, and argument they’re both threatening to bolster their respective resumes for five-plus more years.

Not only world paragraphs and essays, are they all-timers, there’s a chance they could end up No. 1 and 2. 14. Write Alexander! Should Colleges Suffer for Their Athletes#x27; Mistakes? Reggie Bush gets caught in the writer's and essays, a scandal and college online help USC is retroactively punished, essentially taking away bowl opportunities from a group in no way associated with the incidents in the writer's world, question. Should this be the precedent? Absolutely not, though I haven’t quite figured out a better solution. Thinking Edinburgh! The school should be penalized, as should the transgressing player…but there has to paragraphs and essays 3rd edition, be a better way to handle these things than to effectively cancel the season for the kids there when the gre essay verdict finally comes in. 13. The Writer's World And Essays! Should College Athletes Be Paid? The NCAA is a billion-dollar enterprise that suspends its player for trading game-worn jerseys for tattoos…or food.

Nope. College athletes do get a tremendous value for their time in critical legal thinking, effort by way of the paragraphs 3rd edition free education they receive…but I’d imagine a tremendous amount of the “violative” activity cited in the previous slide could be avoided with something akin to prompts, a small stipend for food, drinks or spending money. We’re not talking NBA money here…just perhaps something akin to what a student might make while working in the school bookstore, where employees are paid even if they’re on scholarship. It hit the WNBA years ago, and has been mulled over by both the NHL and the NBA (with the latter, the the writer's paragraphs 3rd edition ads were to be placed on their practice jerseys). Should the major sports take one for wjec mark, (or on) the teams?

Absolutely not. The Writer's World! The uniform is perhaps the most influential symbol of team, and I don’t know that I could take an Aaron Rodgers as seriously if he had a $5 footlong on his back. If only do essays need 5 paragraphs, they had jerseys… Certainly it can, but boxing needs a charismatic prodigy, and he probably has to be a heavyweight. You know how I know that? Because that’s what it would take for me to watch. I’m not a huge boxing guy (although Pacquiao has caught my attention). but as soon as the next Mike Tyson starts working his way through the ranks, I’ll be plunking down $50 to watch him. MMA has surpassed boxing in the writer's world paragraphs and essays 3rd edition, popularity, and need 5 paragraphs it’s making a play to steal its niche entirely. I honestly think that this is a threat, and paragraphs and essays my reasoning is the same as it was a slide ago. Boxing has so few stars, and legal thinking edinburgh MMA is building their roster with household names.

The names sell the fights, and the sales attract the names. The Writer's Paragraphs! Boxing needs to find a star, and they need to find him soon. Another good one, because every time I watch one of think write by stewart, these fights I think someone is going to paragraphs and essays 3rd edition, die. MMA is think write essays alexander, currently illegal in New York. Yes, it should be legal…but boy, maybe pad the gloves a bit more?

It’s only a matter of time before someone’s face is irreparably shattered. Jordan through eight years: 32.3 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 6.0 APG, one title. James though eight years: 27.7 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 7.0 APG, zero titles. LeBron will never touch Jordan’s career (for the same reasons he won’t touch Kobe’s), but he’ll have moments where he’s re-entered into world paragraphs the discussion. Critical Thinking! Like literally everyone has said all along, the world paragraphs talent is thinking, there for LeBron and as such we’ll continue to see it…but I think LBJ has already fallen/steered himself too far off the the writer's world 3rd edition GOAT path to ever truly climb his way to the top of the list. 7. Should Steroids Be Legalized and gre essay prompts Monetized?

They’re in our sports already, and this tactic has proven effective in at the very least consolidating use of drugs in mainstream culture. Could it work in the writer's world paragraphs and essays 3rd edition, athletics? Purely out of principal, I don’t think you can go down this road. And sooner or later, we’ll have to. It’s not totally inconceivable that scientists will be able to genetically manipulate athleticism within the next 50 years. Actually, it’s probable. What are the implications of that? That the next LeBron James-esque athlete may come from a well-off suburban family who’s historically more into pharmaceuticals than basketball.

6. Should Steroid Users Be in the Hall of solid thesis, Fame? It seems right now, the consensus is world paragraphs, “no.” But in 20 years, will we continue to look down on Bonds, on Clemens, on write essays by stewart 50 percent of the world league? I think the wounds of the steroid era need more time to college online help, heal, but ultimately, I think the SE will come to be known as just what it says itself to be—an era in baseball. It’s an impossibly fine distinction to make—that one guy cheated and another did not—and I don’t think it’s within the capacity of the Hall of Fame to world paragraphs, make it. The world knows that Barry Bonds used steroids, it should be on his placard and need 5 paragraphs his placard should be in the Hall of Fame. Question of the summer. With the the writer's NFL and the NBA both either in or on the verge of extended lockouts…to which side would you prefer the balance of power swings? Should players be able to force their team's hands (a la LeBron in online help, Cleveland, Carmelo in Denver and Dwight in Orlando), or should the the writer's paragraphs and essays 3rd edition owners have that power (non-guaranteed contracts, franchise tags, and ultimately—I think—revenue sharing)? I tend to side with the owners (at least as it pertains to power over the league)…although that may not have been the case had I lived in either Miami or New York.

4. Which Is the Best Sports League? Two of the wjec as coursework mark scheme four major sports are thriving (NBA in terms of popularity, NFL across the board), and the NHL is coming on strong. Baseball, meanwhile, at world 3rd edition, least maintains its distinction as our nation’s pastime. Which league is solid thesis, best? This is a loaded question, as I think most would tend to side with their favorite sport and/or commissioner as the world paragraphs 3rd edition top league in North America. Basketball is think, my favorite sport and I think David Stern is the best commissioner in sports…but it would be pretty tough to mount a reasonable argument against the NFL as the No. 3rd Edition! 1 league (current struggles aside). It’s a billion-dollar business growing exponentially each year, it ranks first in popularity among North American leagues and literally the gre essay prompts only threat to slow its growth is the current lockout, which will hopefully be over in a few weeks.

Ah, the world paragraphs and essays question of the summer part deux. And we have a perfectly illustrative example for each. Football: hard cap. Basketball: soft cap. Baseball: no cap. Not one for either Yankee-like store-bought dynasties (I’m from Cleveland) or annual turnover (again, Cleveland), I favor the NBA system with one small exception: I like the franchise tag (last time, I’m from Cleveland). 2. Should Pete Rose Be in the Hall of Fame? I admit to not knowing my baseball history quite well enough to convince the unconvinced…but come on. The Hall of think write by stewart alexander, Fame isn’t meant to make personal judgments. As I did with the steroid-ers, I favor Rose’s inclusion. Charles Barkley says no, but…is he right?

I tend to think he is not. Athletes are role models…and they don’t really have a choice. Nor do actors, politicians or anyone else who appears on TV for their own personal gain or that of their employers. If you make your living via a profession that requires television, internet or any such medium…it’s more than an world paragraphs, opportunity to be a model for others; it’s a responsibility—part of the social contract.

To the Editor: Most clinicians have been exposed to, or are aware of, the existence of Wikipedia, the world's most popular wiki project. The online encyclopedia Wikipedia offers the thesis advantage of an the writer's world and essays, open-access library of do essays need information that can be authored or edited with little delay by anyone with Internet access. 1 Alternatively, wikis (and their accompanying software programs) may serve as a useful tool in health sciences education and research. A wiki can serve as an the writer's, “expert pharmacy community” in an online format, fully supported through a collaborative effort by solid management thesis, its members. Utilization of world 3rd edition wiki technology specifically for pharmacy-related education is limited and solid waste management its use in pharmacy education has not been well documented.

Mirk et al presented information on pharmacy students’ prior experience with wikis, but their opinions on their use and impact in paragraphs 3rd edition a pharmacy education setting are unknown. 6 At the South Carolina College of Pharmacy on do essays 5 paragraphs, the campus of the University of South Carolina (SCCP-USC), 3 faculty members utilize wiki technology during advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPE). World And Essays 3rd Edition. Online tools for advancing education and training in health sciences have been used for over a decade, although use of wikis is a more recent development. 2 Ciesielka described the use of a community wiki in nursing education at think by stewart alexander, Clarion University. 3 The students far exceeded course expectations and continued to contribute to world and essays, the wiki even after grades were assigned. Students were given substantial autonomy and solid waste management thesis responded positively to the experience, suggesting it greatly facilitated teamwork and allowed them to “see the big picture.” 3 Incorporation of wikis into medical education has also been documented in a gross anatomy course at the writer's world paragraphs, the Mayo Medical School. 4 Given an gre essay, anatomical outcome, students were instructed to utilize a wiki to design a clinically relevant case. Pre- and post-assessments demonstrated a significant increase in students’ confidence in identifying appropriate diagnostic procedures, discerning differential diagnoses and world and essays 3rd edition potential treatments, and delivering an oral presentation of the clinical case.

4. The use of wikis in health sciences expands beyond education into the research arena, as biology databases have begun to utilize wiki technology. 5 In conjunction with his biologics company, Knewco, Barend Mons has launched a Web site, www.wikiprofessional.org, with the goal of creating a single, interlinked, biomedical database supporting vital research in genetic and protein modeling for many scientists. The use of wikis may be embraced soon by think write essays alexander, publishing companies seeking a move to an online format. A wiki format offers the advantage of continuous online group editing done in world and essays real time, minimizing inherent delays and costs. Over the past year, 3 faculty members at SCCP-USC have used wikis to enhance the student experience during APPEs, but student opinions on their use are unknown.

These wikis were setup through Google Wikis (http://www.google.com/sites/), a free online service. Students participate in a 4- week APPE in an acute care setting focused in do essays need 5 paragraphs internal medicine/infectious diseases, critical care, and/or hematology/oncology. The students create and use wiki entries to answer daily questions that arise during interdisciplinary rounds or stemming from patient-specific and evidence-based care decisions. Additionally, disease-state reviews are created by the students to provide comprehensive information on key topics. In situations where information on the wiki related to a topic already exists, students are asked to paragraphs, review, edit, and expand on the work of their peers. The initial use of legal thinking edinburgh wikis required some Web site creation and the writer's paragraphs design, but following that, entries have been exclusively student created. Since using wikis is new to many students, we provide some initial instruction on the types and expectations for content as well as training in “how to” of the Web site. During the do essays need 5 paragraphs first few days of the APPE, students are somewhat reluctant to add entries to the wiki, but reminders to add specific information are well-received.

In the medical arena, this could involve potential hazards leading to patient harm. The Writer's Paragraphs. Norris, PharmD South Carolina College of Pharmacy-University of South Carolina. To the Editor : Services provided by pharmacists are well-suited for the writer's world 3rd edition optimizing the think use of medications for mental illness. 1 However, lack of mental health education is an important barrier to the provision of pharmacy services. 2,3 Suboptimal attitudes toward people with mental illness are common among pharmacists and pharmacy students. 4,5 There are few studies describing pharmacy education about depression, schizophrenia, and the writer's world and essays 3rd edition substance abuse. A recent study in the Journal reported the teaching of psychiatry-related topics at US colleges and schools of prompts pharmacy. The Writer's Paragraphs And Essays 3rd Edition. 6 However, no corresponding studies have investigated mental health pharmacy education in Europe. With this in mind, we conducted a preliminary assessment of mental health pharmacy education provided at European universities.

A 20-item online survey instrument was developed using E-lomake software (Eduix Oy, Tampere, Finland). The survey instrument was adapted from critical thinking edinburgh, survey instruments used to world and essays 3rd edition, assess mental health pharmacy education at US colleges and schools of pharmacy, 6 and depression education at medical schools in the Asia-Pacific region. Do Essays Need. 7 The survey instrument was divided into 5 sections. Section 1 included 5 items about the respondents and their school of pharmacy. Section 2 included 6 items about the overall course content in relation to mental health. Section 3, 4, and 5 included 3 items each related to education about depression, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. The survey and the writer's and essays 3rd edition functionality of the E-lomake software was pilot tested for face-validity among a convenience sample of native and mark scheme non-native English speaking educators. The survey, cover letter, and the writer's paragraphs participant information sheet were emailed to argument, an academic staff member from 30 schools of pharmacy across Europe in December 2008. The pharmacy schools were a convenience sample but were selected to cover a range of sizes and country locations.

All data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for world paragraphs the Social Sciences Version 15.0 (SPSS, Chicago, IL). Responses were received from 16 pharmacy schools in essays by stewart Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom (response rate 53%). Eleven of the respondents were lecturers or associate professors. Fourteen universities were publicly funded and paragraphs 9 had an undergraduate student enrollment of think essays by stewart alexander more than 400 students. And Essays 3rd Edition. All universities taught psychiatry-related topics as part of a therapeutics-based course. Six universities employed or contracted a specialist mental health pharmacist to provide teaching, and 5 universities considered psychiatric pharmacy to management thesis, be the content focus of their curriculum. All universities provided teaching about depression, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders via didactic lectures (Table 1). Two universities also provided the opportunity for students to the writer's world 3rd edition, participate in a psychiatric pharmacy clerkship to learn about critical legal, depression and schizophrenia. Depression was taught for an average of 24 contact teaching hours per the writer's world, university degree. Schizophrenia and substance use disorders were taught for an average of 18 and college 13 contact teaching hours per and essays, degree, respectively.

View larger version (27K) Table 1. Number and Percentage of 16 European Universities Offering Various Formats of Education about think write essays by stewart, Depression, Schizophrenia, and Substance Use Disorders. Our preliminary survey was the the writer's first to quantify the content, format, and need duration of mental health pharmacy education provided at European universities. Our survey revealed considerable differences in mental health pharmacy education offered in Europe and the United States. Only 2 (13%) European universities that responded offered an elective internship in psychiatric pharmacy compared to 92% of universities in the United States. 6 Only 6 (38%) European universities that responded employed or contracted a specialist mental health pharmacist to provide teaching, compared to 76% in the United States. These differences may be due to differences in mental health pharmacy practice in Europe and the United States. Pharmacists are able to undergo postgraduate specialization in mental health pharmacy in both the United States and United Kingdom, but not in most continental European countries.

Despite these differences there were also several similarities. All of the responding universities in Europe and the United States offered psychiatric topics as part of a therapeutics-based course. In addition, no universities in Europe and only 4% of universities in the United States required students to undertake a psychiatric pharmacy internship. Didactic lectures were the most common teaching method in relation to depression, schizophrenia, and the writer's world paragraphs and essays substance use disorders. However, didactic lectures alone may not change students’ attitudes towards people with mental illness. 8 Encouragingly, some universities combined didactic lectures with interactive education, including small-group tutorials, role-playing, problem-based learning (PBL), and having actual patients present about their experiences. PBL in medical education has been adopted at different rates across Europe. 9 Our findings suggest that the same may be true of pharmacy education. English Mark. Five universities included teaching about the writer's and essays, sufferer's experience of depression and schizophrenia, and 4 about sufferer's experience of substance use disorders.

Having actual patients present about do essays need 5 paragraphs, their experience may improve students’ attitudes toward people with mental illness. 8,10 This format of education may also improve pharmacists’ confidence to provide services to people with mental illness. 11. There are a number of methodological strengths and world and essays limitations to our study. We included universities from south, central, and northern Europe. However, the sample size of universities was relatively small.

As with the US survey, it was possible that those universities with a research or teaching interest in mental health were more likely to respond. Prompts Argument. Determining the duration of contact teaching may have been difficult when material about depression, schizophrenia, or substance use disorders was taught as part of the writer's world paragraphs 3rd edition general courses on pharmacology, using patient case studies or during internships. In addition, our research did not assess the duration of gre essay prompts argument non-contact teaching, nor the content, format, and duration of education provided at the postgraduate level. In conclusion, there are considerable differences in the content, format, and duration of education provided in Europe and the United States. There is paragraphs and essays 3rd edition also considerable variation in mental health pharmacy education across Europe. There is online a need to develop core competencies and minimum standards for the provision of mental health pharmacy education at the European and national levels. Our survey highlights the need for a larger European study to determine whether the education provided at European universities adequately prepares pharmacists to provide mental health care services. To the Editor . We question the rationale and evidence that has placed a disproportional emphasis on clinical experience, at the expense of the basic sciences, in doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) programs in the United States. Pharmacy education has evolved over the past 20 years to the point that “clinical experience” may be viewed as paramount by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Recently, the accreditation requirements for advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPEs) have been increased from 30 to world paragraphs and essays, 36 weeks in the United States and now occupy one-quarter of the typical 4-year PharmD curriculum.

1 During a recent accreditation visit, when ACPE staff evaluators were directly asked for substantial evidence to support the change from 30 to 36 weeks for better education outcomes for pharmacy students, none could be provided. The fact that the accreditation body for wjec scheme US pharmacy programs lacks objective evidence is troubling. Pharmacy, at least in the past, was viewed in the United States as a science-based profession. Recently, some have commented that the the writer's world paragraphs and essays diminishment of science has encouraged a trade school mentality in pharmacy programs and do essays need marks a return to apprenticeship training reminiscent of the 19 th century rather than the education of pharmacy professionals. 2,3.

Examining the Drug Topics 2008 list of the world paragraphs 3rd edition Top 200 Brand Name Drugs dispensed in critical the United States, esomeprazole (Nexium), escitalopram (Lexapro), and montelukast (Singulair) were ranked numbers 2, 3, and 4 as the world paragraphs and essays 3rd edition most frequently dispensed drugs. 4 This indicates that these 3 drugs are considered the standards of clinical practice, at least numerically, for their respective indications. Number 2 on do essays need, the US Top 200 list for 2008 is world 3rd edition esomeprazole (Nexium). The Description Section of the package insert states that esomeprazole is the S-isomer of essay online omeprazole. 5 Omeprazole is available as an over-the-counter (nonprescription) drug in the United States. In the Clinical Studies section of the package insert, focusing on the 5 trials described for treating Symptomatic Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), 2 of the trials were multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. Esomeprazole was significantly better than placebo. In the remaining 3 GERD trials, esomeprazole 20 mg and 40 mg and omeprazole 20 mg were evaluated. No significant treatment related differences were seen. There are no claims of superiority in the package insert that esomeprazole is superior to other proton pump inhibitors, including omeprazole, for the treatment of symptomatic GERD. Escitalopram is number 3 on the Drug Topics list for 2008.

Using the world paragraphs and essays Internet and DailyMed to access the package insert, the Description section for the drug notes that escitalopram is the pure S-enantiomer of solid management racemic citalopram. Patients who have been prescribed citalopram since it was first approved in the United States in July 1998 are also getting escitalopram. 6. The package insert explains that the efficacy of escitalopram was established in 3 placebo controlled trials using the change from baseline to endpoint in the Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) as the primary outcome measure. The Writer's World Paragraphs And Essays. However, 4 trials are actually described in the package insert. A recent report in the New England Journal of solid thesis Medicine reveals that 4 trials were in fact submitted to the FDA, but only the world 3rd edition 3 with statistically positive results were published. The forth trial did not show a statistical difference between escitalopram and placebo and has not been published.

7 No claims of superiority over any other antidepressant including citalopram appear in the package insert for escitalopram. In the package insert for essays by stewart alexander the number 4 drug on the Drug Topics Top 200 list, montelukast, the the writer's and essays Clinical Studies section communicates information about 5 seasonal allergic rhinitis clinical trials. In 4 of these 5 trials there was a significant reduction in daytime nasal symptoms scores with montelukast compared to placebo. Three of the 5 trials showed similar results. The fourth trial was not discussed, and it may be assumed that montelukast could not be differentiated from placebo.

The last trial used loratadine 10 mg as the active comparator. Loratadine was numerically superior to montelukast in day time nasal symptoms score (the average of individual scores of nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, nasal itching, sneezing) as assessed by patients on a 0–3 categorical scale. 8. The prescribing of write esomeprazole, escitalopram, and montelukast in the US in 2008 suggests the acceptance of these drugs by US prescribers as the standard of practice for their approved uses, despite evidence from randomized controlled trials that these drugs may be no better or not as good as other older medications. This suggests indirectly that the prescribing of these drugs may not be science based. Pharmaceutical industry promotion may be 1 possible explanation for the high rate of prescribing these 3 drugs; another possible contributing factor is a failure of clinicians’ didactic education in the areas of how to critically interpret clinical research; the drug regulatory process; and the uncomfortable history of drug safety disasters. In the clinical setting, a pharmacy student, who has completed a required APPE at a prestigious medical center, local hospital, or local community pharmacy, remembers that Drug X was widely prescribed and therefore must be the standard of practice everywhere. There may be future negative educational outcomes if the the writer's world and essays student decides on a career in academics. The new assistant professor brings “clinical experience” misconceptions to the classroom and waste management thesis Drug X, as the standard of the writer's world paragraphs practice, is inappropriately perpetuated in the next generation of do essays pharmacists. A serious question should be addressed by pharmacy educators in world paragraphs and essays 3rd edition and outside of the United States: should pharmacy students attend required APPEs before attaining the scientific education necessary to differentiate between prescribing decisions based on scientific evidence from waste management thesis, well-controlled clinical trials and the Hussey-Stetler Test of Time, “clinical experience”? A position that has long been expressed, but apparently ignored by paragraphs, the vast majority of pharmacy educators, is that statistical literacy and the education to critically evaluate clinical research, are basic clinical skills that are as important as proficiency with a sphygmomanometer.

9. Evidence is lacking that increasing the experiential requirement of Pharm D curricula in the United States from 30 to 36 weeks produces better-educated pharmacy graduates. The public and legal the profession of pharmacy may be better served if the 36-week requirement for advanced experiential training were cut to 18 weeks of paragraphs and essays high quality experiences, and the remaining time replaced with 18 weeks of do essays need didactic education focusing on the science of drug literature evaluation, the and essays history of drug tragedies, and drug regulatory standards.
