But once you’ve done that, be sure you respond when the employer contacts you. Writing in The Gladiator , a job-search “survival” newsletter, Shanna Kemp, who recently worked at a recruiting firm, notes: “I cannot count the number of potential candidates I contacted who simply never emailed or called back. As a recruiter, I assume that if the candidate doesn’t call or email in return, they are no longer interested in employment and put them on ratios comp) my “uninterested” list. Also, many recruiters are searching for candidates to fill a position that is currently open and essay harvesting, being interviewed for; if you don’t respond quickly, someone else will, and they will be hired.” How can I ensure that my resume convinces employers that I’m exactly what they’re looking for and gets attention? Be sure your resume includes copious industry-specific keywords, and when responding to job postings, pack your resume with actual verbiage from the cover, postings. Include keywords on your resume so they’ll be sure to essay harvesting in india, be picked up by the employer’s keyword-searchable software. For more about how to re coursework gcse, identify and use keywords, see our article, Tapping the Power of Keywords to Enhance Your Resume’s Effectiveness and use our Resume Keywords Worksheet.

A word of caution, though, from Dickey-Chasins: “Including keywords should either be inconspicuous (at the end of the resume), or carefully woven into the resume so that it still reads like English. Just plugging a resume full of essay on rainwater harvesting in india keywords is not good — it will get you to Finance with ratios, show up in the searches, but then your resume will not rank highly because of the way it’s written.” Another way to on rainwater harvesting in india, get attention is to send your resume (with a cover letter) by postal mail to the employer simultaneously with your job-board submission. You’ll grab attention because it’s becoming less and less common to send resumes through snailmail. Does it matter how quickly I respond to job postings on job boards? While this question might seem to perceptions challenges encountered primary, have an obvious answer, it’s worth emphasizing that speed is of the essence. For any who may have doubted the importance of acting quickly, a study by Startwire of more than 6,600 hires across 10 industries show that of those hired, 27 percent applied within the first two days after a job was posted, and nearly 50 percent of the harvesting in india, hires were applicants who applied within the first week. How often should update my resume submissions to the boards? The way the system works dictates frequent updates. Kemp, who suggests weekly updates, writes, “I was trained to search only for candidates who had posted in the past 24 hours first (and I always found several) then work my way back to free personal narrative, a week.” Some experts suggest as often as daily.

Dickey-Chasins agrees with Kemp that weekly should be adequate. For many sites, he says, refreshing your resume weekly “will pop you to essay on rainwater in india, the top of the list of ‘fresh’ resumes.” But a big caveat here is to be cautious about how much time you’re spending updating and re-submitting your resume to the job boards. Given that using the job boards is not necessarily the most effective way to Teachers' perceptions of the in the primary classroom, find a job to begin with, make sure you don’t let these resume-updating activities swallow up all your precious job-hunting time. Essay On Rainwater? Mix up your job-search techniques in cover, proportion to the effectiveness of the various methods — including networking, which is on rainwater harvesting generally recognized as the best method. It’s also a good idea to check the ap bio, policies of the boards you’re posting to regarding how long they keep your resume active. Essay? Even if you don’t update your resume submission frequently, you’ll want to make sure it’s still active on the boards. When I post my resume on the major job boards, I get a flood of junk e-mails advertising get-rich-quick, multi-level marketing (MLM), and pyramid schemes. How can I avoid that? One solution is to obtain a “throwaway” e-mail address from a provider such as Hotmail or Yahoo for use during job searching and then terminating the account after the search is complete to stave off these types of unwanted e-mail solicitations. “If a job board has a lot of non-job ads, Google AdWords, etc., it’s probably more likely to sell your name and resume,” points out Dickey-Chasins, “and thus you’ll get more junk mail.

In general, focus on the job boards that are specific to your location and profession. Be careful not to ‘accidentally’ opt-in by leaving a box checked when you’re uploading your resume. Course Essays? Read all forms before submitting.” And the on rainwater harvesting in india, big job boards really owe it to users to tell what they’re doing to prevent job-seekers from being subjected to Finance analysis ratios comp), inappropriate solicitations and misrepresentation. Should I be concerned about privacy violations and identity theft when I post my resume on the boards?

Unfortunately, yes, according to some recent studies. Pam Dixon, head of the World Privacy Forum, warns that many job sites still let too much information from resumes posted online get into the hands of essay on rainwater harvesting third parties through online “cookies” that monitor Web surfing. “Although job boards have made strides in perceptions challenges encountered time in the school, protecting privacy,” Dickey-Chasins says, “there is still a risk of on rainwater having your information stolen. Think about it — if credit card companies, who devote vast amounts of money, staff, and time to preventing identity theft, still have breaches, then you can assume the same will happen on occasion with a job board. What is more likely, however, is that recruiters will download your information and then share it amongst themselves or with other companies.”

To help prevent these violations, Dixon offers Privacy Tips for gcse Online Job Seekers. I don’t want my current employer to see that my resume has been submitted to a job board, nor do I want any employers to contact my current employer. What can I do? The most reputable job boards offer “confidential” settings. Select the identity-revealing information that you want blocked out. Essay On Rainwater Harvesting In India? Some boards enable you to encountered time primary, set up an e-mail account with them so you don’t have to essay on rainwater, reveal your real e-mail address. And to keep employers from contacting your current employer, substitute “confidential” or “current employer” for the name of your employer on your resume or resume-submission form. Any special tips for boards like Monster that require a fill-in-the-blanks profile form for resume submission? One important tip is re coursework gcse that you don’t have to fill in essay, every blank.

Think twice about filling in the blanks with information that would limit your opportunities. Ross Primack of Connecticut Works suggests leaving blan he quest ons about deal job and ideal company as they can limit your options. Other advice from Primack: The salary and references fields are not required and should be left blank. Stating that you can start your next position immediately can make you look disloyal and of the challenges the use in the primary classroom, as though you are prone to leaving employers in the lurch. The job-seeker’s answer to the question about site location can also be limiting. Given Monster’s three options of on-site, off-site, and no preference, choose no preference. Similarly, when you’re asked about essay in india company-size preference, you’ll keep more options open by indicating no preference. Be as specific as possible in course on photo, completing the essay on rainwater harvesting in india, skill section, especially regarding software skills, and with (one, use the essay on rainwater in india, skill section to list keywords associated with your background and experience. Sometimes you do want to limit your opportunities to course essays, the fields that really interest you.

Primack suggests using Monster’s “Additional information” box to indicate fields in which you have no interest and state that you don’t wish to be contacted by employers in on rainwater harvesting in india, these areas. An additional tip from Kemp is to title your resume appropriately since Monster allows resume titles. “As an employer or recruiter on the search end… I ignore all resumes that don’t seem relevant immediately — and essays, if I find someone better first, never go back,” Kemp writes. Dickey-Chasins observes that “many sites are moving to some new models. In one, you simply upload your resume; the harvesting in india, resume is parsed and indexed via software; and then employers view the course essays, parsed resume on on rainwater harvesting the job site. Other sites are allowing the creation of at least part of your profile via the import of essays your LinkedIn profile, which saves time but also means you need to keep your LinkedIn profile up to date.” I’ve already tried most of the on rainwater harvesting in india, suggestions in this FAQ, and I’m still not getting good results. Are there any untapped promising areas or new trends in online resume submission?

A relatively untapped venue is professional organizations. Not only do they often have job ads for your specific field, but professional organizations were ranked as the No. Free Personal Narrative? 1 networking venue in the survey we did for our book, A Foot in essay on rainwater, the Door: Networking Your Way into the Hidden Job Market . Access many professional organizations through this section of with comp) Quintessential Careers: General Professional Organizations and Associations. Another technique — which hardly represents a new trend but is not used often enough — is followup. Essay Harvesting In India? It’s not always easy to obtain contact information for page an employer to which you’re submitting your resume online, but it can be done, and your persistence can pay off. Even if you receive a rejection letter or e-mail, follow up to indicate continued interest in the employer. I’ve heard about some techniques for “fooling” the applicant-tracking system software that searches employer databases for resumes. Some of these techniques involve telling “white lies” and don’t seem ethical. Should I use these techniques? Some job-seekers are so incensed by impersonal resume-filtering technology that they believe they are justified in engaging in harvesting, questionable ethics to “beat the system.” We retain a neutral stance on the ethical issue and choose not to publicize the techniques on our site.

I’ve posted my resume to just about every job board imaginable — even in areas I wasn’t really qualified for — just to cover all the bases. But I’m still not getting good results. Course Essays? What am I doing wrong? Don’t submit your resume indiscriminately. Adding to the overwhelming volume of resumes employers receive online is a plethora of resumes sent for jobs the job-seeker is in india not remotely qualified for. Essays? If you think you’re covering all bases by responding to zillions of job postings, think again.

You do yourself no favors by adding to the clutter that employers must weed through. Essay Harvesting? Managing the information glut that results from the perceptions challenges encountered school classroom, bombardment of essay on rainwater resumes is a major headache for employers. Some job-seekers think that even if they’re not qualified, the employer will realize how much they have to offer and match them up with other company job openings. Given the sheer volume of resumes and the speed of the screening process, the chances of essays such a match occurring are beyond remote, so don’t waste the employer’s time or your own. “Job-seekers should be careful about submitting their resumes, rather than flooding the sites,” Dickey-Chasins cautions. Essay In India? “If your resume pops up for analysis (one comp) all sorts of job applications, recruiters will notice — but not in a good way. What will help you reach your goals, whether it’s publication, releasing more books, beefing up your online visibility, or honing your craft? Write down everything that you want to accomplish, and don’t forget smaller goals, as these are necessary steppingstones to achieving larger ones. Also, choose goals that are within your power to essay on rainwater harvesting, make happen. Course On Photo Essays? For example, while you might really want representation, “getting an agent” is not necessarily something you can attain yourself; the agent decides whom they represent. However, “researching and essay harvesting querying all suitable agents” is a goal you can set and meet. Read through your list and look for bigger themes. Are there several goals that fit into a similar area of course on photo essays, focus, like platform building or writing improvement?

Grab some highlighters and essay on rainwater harvesting group these together. Then, choose a name or tag line that summarizes each theme or area of focus. Common themes might include. Social networking improvement (platform building and free narrative connection) Education (attending workshops, finding a critique partner, improving one’s craft, studying the industry, etc.) Publishing (trying for an agent, working towards a traditional contract or self-publishing) Marketing visibility (researching and implementing ads, hiring a publicist, finding one’s audience online, soliciting reviews, etc.) Now that your goals are organized into essay on rainwater harvesting in india different focus areas (themes), step back and on photo essays look at the big picture.

anaylsis essay You’ve been staring at your blank computer screen for what feels like hours, trying to harvesting, figure out free personal narrative, how to start your analytical essay. You try to choose between writing the introduction first or getting right into the meat of harvesting, it. Re Coursework Gcse? But somehow, it seems too difficult to do either. What you need is is a blueprint—a foolproof way to get your essay structured. Then all you have to do is fill in the blanks.

By Anonymous [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons. What an in india Analytical Essay Is—And What It Isn’t. Helpful, right? Um, not so much. First, it might be more useful to of the challenges with the use, explain what an analytical essay isn’t before getting to what it is essay in india, . An analytical essay isn’t a summary. Though this may seem obvious in theory, it’s more difficult in practice.

If you read your essay and perceptions of the challenges with of instructional classroom, it sounds a lot like a book report, it’s probably only summarizing events or characters. One way to figure out if you’re summarizing instead of essay harvesting, analyzing is to look at your support. Are you simply stating what happened, or are you relating it back to ap bio essay, your main point? Okay, so what is an analytical essay, exactly ? Usually, it’s writing that has a more narrowed focus than a summary. Analytical essays usually concentrate on how the book or poem was written—for example, how certain themes present themselves in essay in india the story, or how the use of metaphor brings a certain meaning to a poem.

In short, this type of essay requires you to look at the smaller parts of the work to help shed light on the larger picture. An example of a prompt—and the ap bio photosynthesis essay example I’m going to on rainwater harvesting, use for the rest of this post—could be something like: Analyze the theme of sacrifice in the Harry Potter series. (Note: there might be some spoilers, but I figured everyone who was planning on Finance analysis with reading the books has done so already—or at least has seen the movies.) One Way To Form Your Analytical Essay Outline. There are quite a few ways to organize your analytical essay, but no matter how you choose to write it, your essay should always have three main parts: I’ll get into the nitty-gritty of this soon, but for all you visual learners, here is a nice representation of all the components that make a great analytical essay outline. You can see that I’ve added a few more details than just the introduction, body, and conclusion. But hold your horses—we’re getting to those parts right now. Introduction of Your Analytical Essay Outline. The purpose of your introduction is to get the reader interested in your analysis. The introduction should include at least three things—a hook, your thesis statement, and a sentence or two describing how you intend to on rainwater in india, prove your thesis statement. 1. Free Essay? You gotta hook ‘em from the start. The first part of your introduction should draw the reader in. This is called the hook.

The hook should be interesting or surprising. You can achieve this by asking a rhetorical question, giving some relevant statistics, or making a statement that’s unusual or controversial. For my Harry Potter example, I might say, “Since the publication of the essay in india first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone , some Christian groups have attacked the books for comp) promoting witchcraft. However, one of the main themes of the books draws inspiration from Christianity itself—that of sacrifice.” Okay, so that’s two sentences. But it’s got a little bit of controversy and on rainwater harvesting, relates to what the course essays rest of the essay will discuss. 2. In India? Get to the good stuff—write a killer thesis statement. Okay, so now that you’ve got your reader hooked, you need to start getting to the point. This is where the thesis statement comes in. My thesis might be, “The theme of sacrifice is prevalent throughout the series and essays, is embodied as sacrifice for the greater good, sacrifice for an ultimate gain, and sacrifice to keep a promise.” 3. It’s time to back up your thesis. Essay Harvesting? Let the reader know how you’re going to prove your claim.

For my example, I would let the reader know that I intend to analyze the instances of Harry’s “death,” Voldemort’s sacrifice of his soul in exchange for immortality, and how Snape sacrifices in Teachers' perceptions challenges of instructional time primary school classroom order to honor a promise made to Lily Potter. These points will be the building blocks of the essay harvesting body paragraphs. Body of Your Analytical Essay Outline. The body is where you can start to get really creative and play around with formatting. In the flowchart, there are three body paragraphs. But that’s because I was trained in re coursework the 5-paragraph outline. But you can include as many or as few body paragraphs as you want—as long as you end up thoroughly supporting your thesis. For my outline, each body paragraph includes a topic sentence, followed by three sets of claims, evidence to support those claims, and harvesting, how that evidence ties back to the topic sentence. Again, three is not necessarily a magic number here. You could make one claim with a lot of evidence, or five claims to support your topic sentence. But let’s get into Teachers' perceptions of the with the use of instructional in the primary school classroom, it, shall we?

1. Develop a strong topic sentence. Each topic sentence in each body paragraph of essay in india, your analytical essay outline should tell the reader exactly what that section is going to be about. My first body paragraph might start with, “Harry Potter is gcse, willing to fulfill prophecy and make the ultimate sacrifice—that of his life—in order to save the rest of the wizarding world.” 2. On Rainwater Harvesting? Make your claim. The claim should dive into a smaller part of the re coursework overarching topic sentence. On Rainwater Harvesting? The topic sentence I gave can be broken down into several smaller claims—that Harry knew that he was fulfilling prophecy, that he was actually willing to die, and that his death would be of profound significance. 3. Provide evidence from the text to back your claim.

You can’t just go around making claims without any support. You can use quotes or paraphrase parts of the text to add evidence. Of The Challenges Encountered With Of Instructional Time Primary School Classroom? For evidence that Harry knew that he was fulfilling prophecy, you could cite the instance in the hall of prophecies with the quote, “and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the essay on rainwater harvesting other survives.” 4. Tie that evidence to the topic sentence. You have to free personal narrative essay, make it absolutely clear why you included the evidence. If you don’t, your analytical essay runs the risk of being a summary. For example, with the citing of the essay on rainwater harvesting in india prophecy, I would tell the reader that Harry and his friends found said prophecy and figured out that it had to be about him (although there are objections that it could’ve been referring to Neville, but we’ll leave that out of this example). They knew that either Voldemort had to die or Harry did, and he had to be willing to do that. They’re not needed in cover latex the outline, but when you write your final essay, be sure you include effective transitions. This will help your essay flow.

Conclusion of Your Analytical Essay Outline. After you’ve built up all of your body paragraphs, given the appropriate evidence to back your claims, and tied that evidence to essay on rainwater harvesting, your awesome topic sentences, you’re ready to wrap it all up. The conclusion should be a brief restatement of your main points without being a direct copy. For example, “There are many motivations behind sacrifice—to help others, to photosynthesis essay, help oneself, or to keep a promise to essay harvesting in india, a loved one—and J.K. Rowling explores several of them through the characters in photosynthesis essay the Harry Potter book series.” This, of course, does not suffice as a full conclusion. To fill it out and give the reader a sense of essay on rainwater harvesting, closure, you can relate the theme to the real world or end with a final quote from the text or the author.
